Job Description

Our client, in an exciting industry, is in need for a Financial Analyst to join their team on a long contract basis! This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in financial management to high-impact projects and programs. If you excel in problem-solving, have a growth mindset, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support financial controls for portfolios governed by earned-value management principles.

• Independently manage and analyze resource forecasts and Estimates at Completion (EACs) for budgets, control accounts, and programs.

• Develop, review, and present performance reports to senior management, offering insights into financial and operational outcomes.

• Conduct variance analyses to evaluate financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve results.

• Lead the creation of cost and schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value and variance analyses.

• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, leveraging extensive experience to improve profitability and shareholder value.

• Analyze and present business cases using appropriate indices to drive decision-making and optimize financial outcomes.

• Collaborate on defining requirements and deploying systems, tools, and processes to enhance business and resource planning capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial operations, cost management, estimating, financial planning, contracts, or procurement financial analysis.
• Proven leadership experience in financial processes such as Estimates at Completion (EACs), Long Range Business Plans (LRBPs), Earned Value Management, or Performance Management Baseline for large-scale projects.
• Strong skills in financial analysis, modeling, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in earned-value management principles and their application to project portfolios.
• Ability to work onsite at the designated location in Tucson, Arizona.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. or meet residency requirements to comply with organizational policies.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving financial outcomes.
