CNC Laser Operator
Calisota Parts is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC laser cutting equipment to produce quality metal components efficiently, safely, and according to customer specifications.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with production documentation, material handling, and quality inspection requirements.

What You Will Do
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment according to work instructions and production requirements.
- Load and unload sheet metal and finished components safely and efficiently.
- Verify material type, thickness, quantity, and job documentation before production.
- Select and verify programs, tooling, nozzles, gases, and machine settings as required.
- Inspect finished components for dimensions, edge quality, and conformance to specifications.
- Monitor machine performance, cut quality, consumables, and production progress.
- Troubleshoot common cutting, material, and machine issues and escalate concerns as needed.
- Maintain accurate production, scrap, and downtime records.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and operator-level preventive maintenance.
- Support material organization, part identification, and downstream production needs.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications
- CNC laser or metal fabrication experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read basic blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Experience using measuring instruments and performing basic inspections.
- Material handling or forklift experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn machine controls, setup procedures, and preventive maintenance tasks.
