Job Description

FASD Outpatient Therapist: Hazleton Office


Purpose of this Position: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder


The FASD Outpatient Therapist position provides services that includes diagnostic bio-psycho social

assessments, individual, group and family therapy, substance abuse screenings, trauma exposure screenings,

domestic violence screenings, psychiatric evaluations, psychological evaluations, medication assessments and

medication monitoring. The FASD Outpatient Therapist serves children, adolescents who have assessed

positive for fetal alcohol spectrum disorders.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Knowledge of professional casework principles, practices, and methodology

• Knowledge of individual and group dynamics

• Utilization of a variety of modalities and techniques to address the needs of each client and their family

Qualifications:


Master's degree:

• Graduate degree from an accredited college or university in a generally recognized clinical discipline in

which the degree program includes a clinical practicum.


• Licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience

(LSW, LPC, LCSW)


• Graduate degree in clinical discipline with 12 graduate level credits in mental health or counseling from

an accredited program


Bachelor's degree:


• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a recognized clinical discipline including

social work, psychology, rehabilitation or activity therapies
