Warehouse Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to support daily administrative and operational functions within the warehouse office. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records, assist with shipment processing, and ensure smooth coordination between warehouse staff, drivers, and customer service teams.
Location: Des Plaines
Schedule: On-site Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
Duties:

Write and file Freight Acceptance Sheets and related documentation.

Check in drivers, dispatch deliveries, and manage dock doors.

Hand out assignments and paperwork to forklift operators.

Respond to customer emails and internal requests in a timely manner.

Enter and scan shipment details into Navisphere and maintain data accuracy.

Monitor shared mailboxes and print BOLs, work orders, and internal team requests as needed.

Record and maintain inventory of export shipments, ensuring Navisphere data matches all Bills of Lading and receiver details.

Track and maintain documentation for all inbound and outbound freight, including:

Sign-in sheets

Container inspection forms
-
Bills of Lading

Support compliance with all import/export and legal procedures, including G.O. tracking and notifications.

Communicate effectively using multiple methods (email, phone, IM, radio).

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead Clerk.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service focus.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic Internet applications.

Familiarity with Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests, and warehouse documentation preferred.
