Customer Service Specialist - Petrochemicals

Pay to $28 hourly

Join our dynamic team as a Customer Service representative with a focus on the oil & gas industry. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service through accurate order processing, effective communication with clients, and collaboration with internal departments. This fast-paced and collaborative position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a key industry.
Required Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in the chemical or oil & gas industry
- 3 years of customer service experience
- Strong knowledge of SAP is preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage open orders efficiently and adhere to established processes
- Proficiency in generating quotes and processing customer orders
- Capability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key accounts
- Familiarity with Incoterms, payment terms, and pricing
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with system requirements and business management guidelines
- Previous training in OSHA PPE standards is a bonus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional certification in customer service or related field is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week
- Onsite position at Waterway location, transitioning to a hybrid model after 3 months of training
- Flexible schedule, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote after transitioning to a hybrid model
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Availability to work on-site on Wednesdays
- Capability to process new purchase orders within 24 hours
