Inventory & Distribution Specialist
Overview
Threshold Medical is a medical device distributor, seeking a hardworking and organized individual to join our Salt Lake City staff. This role is responsible for managing inventory levels, placing supply orders, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of medical devices to hospitals and healthcare facilities. This role is office-based with a strong field component, requiring regular driving, customer interaction, and physical handling of medical equipment. The position plays a critical role in maintaining uninterrupted clinical operations through precise inventory control and dependable delivery execution.
This position is great for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys challenges and problem solving, with a high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Deliveries:
- Deliver medical devices to hospitals, clinics, and surgical centers in a timely and professional manner in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas **THIS ROLE IS DRIVING HEAVY**
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare medical devices for scheduled deliveries
- Maintain front-line working relationships with key hospital staff
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain required delivery documentation
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels daily to ensure adequate stock of medical devices and supplies
- Place and track orders with vendors and manufacturers
- Receive, log, and organize incoming inventory
- Ensure compliance with all safety, handling, and medical distribution standards
- Maintain clean, organized storage and inventory areas
- Assist with audits, inventory counts, and tracking reports
General:
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, internal operations teams, and vendors
- Perform general office and operations support as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical & Driving Requirements
- Frequent driving required - company vehicle provided (3-6 hours per day on average, on the road and in and out of facilities)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally, and 20 lbs regularly - cart/dolly provided
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move equipment throughout the workday - in and out of vehicle, on and off shelves.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of conventional management and inventory fundamentals
- Understanding of inventory software application packages, Google, and Microsoft Office
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check
- Some experience preferred but the right candidate can adapt and learn with a positive attitude and hard work
Compensation
- Health, dental, and vision insurance starting at 60 days (full-time employees)
- PTO
- Pay is $18+ hourly, based on experience
- Work schedule is 8-5 daily; full-time
