Job Details
• Staff Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for a group of patients during designated time frames.
• Provides care using nursing process, trends, technology, and resources within institutional philosophy.
• Performs unit-specific responsibilities within scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to specific practice area.
• Maintains accurate documentation of nursing care for healthcare team use.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops plan of care based on patient and family needs.
• Implements and modifies plan of care based on continuous evaluation.
• Ensures patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting hazards and incidents.
• Communicates effectively to resolve issues and provides constructive feedback for peer development.
• Identifies own learning needs and fulfills departmental competencies.
• Department specific: Ensures communication with patients/family via hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and whiteboards.
• Collaborates with critical care team for ICU lite patients and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients.

Job Requirements
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience.
• Illinois state RN License in good standing required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required.

Schedule Information
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• 12 hours per day.
• 36 hours per week.

Unit Specific Information
• Unit: Advanced Care/Med Surg PV8.
• Works with ICU lite patients and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients.
• Department emphasizes communication with patients and families through hourly rounding and bedside shift reports.
