Job DescriptionSalary:

Position Description:

Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and possible private insurance for outpatient services in accordance with Business Office policy. Reconciliation of all 3rd party billing package with RPMS. Patient Registration and data collection.


Provide Supervisor with an accurate accounting of all billing claims. Responsible for all self-education by reading all third party newsletters, periodicals and updates circulated by state, federal, and/or tribal agencies.


Provide secretarial services for the Director of The Kickapoo Nation Health Center which includes typing, filing, billing, budget modulations and entering of State and Federal data as needed. Complete and maintain all records and documents in accordance with State, Federal, and Tribal standards and requirements. Maintain confidentiality.


Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate general office processes and services of the Kickapoo Nation Health Center.
  2. Verify insurance eligibility
  3. Accurately code all medical and dental procedures and diagnosis using ICD-9, ICD-10 codes, CPT and HCPCS codes.
  4. Facilitate meetings and presentations as assigned.
  5. Maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
  6. Mater G.L. Coding and budget modulations.
  7. Maintain HIPPA rules and standards
  8. Follow CMS guidelines.
  9. Perform other duties of a similar or related nature and to assist in other areas where staffing shortages exist.



Qualifications:


Associates Degree or 4 years experience. Two years billing and secretarial experience. Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and listening. Personal computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics. Working Knowledge of standard billing practices, accounts payable and receivable, standard bookkeeping principles, G.L. coding, budget modulations and requisitions.


Must be able to pass a background check.
