The Role: Precision & Innovation

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, you will be the technical lead for the construction, alteration, and repair of complex tools, dies, and molds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex Machining: Execute difficult setups and machining operations, often requiring creative improvisation to perform work beyond standard machine capacity.

  • Critical Bench Work: Perform high-level finishing on molds, including polishing, fitting, aligning, and calibrating intricate mechanisms.

  • Design & Development: Design new tooling and fixtures for the Plastics/Silicone department in the absence of formal design specs.

  • Trial & Training: Set up modified tools in production machines for trial runs and provide technical instruction to operators.

  • Quality Ownership: Assume total responsibility for dimensional accuracy and the efficient mechanical operation of assigned projects.



Requirements (Must Have)

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Toolmaker is strictly required.

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.

  • Technical Savvy: Broad knowledge of mechanical principles, advanced mathematics, and material characteristics.

  • Precision: Mastery of layout and precision measuring procedures to meet "close and exacting" finish requirements.

  • Diversified Background: Up to 3 years of diversified experience in tool and die making (Medical or Plastics experience is a significant plus).
