Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic school-based Occupational Therapy role in the Long Beach, CA area, supporting diverse K-12 caseloads for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, on-site contract runs from August 11, 2026 through June 4, 2027. Assignments may vary, with opportunities to work in both single-site and itinerant capacities across multiple campuses.

Your expertise as a California-licensed Occupational Therapist will enhance student outcomes and foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment. This position calls for initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work independently, making it ideal for professionals ready to make a meaningful impact in educational settings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of California
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Previous experience or fieldwork within a K-12 school or related setting
  • Understanding of the Special Education process, educational terminology, and standardized assessments
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to varying assignments and caseloads
  • Comfort working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with CDE OT/PT guidelines (resource provided for interview preparation)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy evaluation and intervention to students ages K-12
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and family members to develop comprehensive IEP goals
  • Conduct standardized assessments and maintain detailed documentation as required
  • Support students’ motor, sensory, and functional participation in educational activities
  • Adapt therapeutic approaches based on each student’s unique needs and IEP requirements
  • Travel between assigned schools as needed for itinerant roles
