Job Requirements
- 2+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at submission
- BSN required
- AHA BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Experience providing safe, high-quality maternal and newborn care in a high-acuity setting
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean births, and emergency obstetric situations as needed
- Administer medications, treatments, and clinical interventions in accordance with established protocols
- Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to support positive patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses to care
