Operators will lead in all aspects of operation of Press lines, including changeovers, machine start-up, running, and shut-down. The position supports operations in becoming World Class, with a primary focus on Safety. Operators are responsible for running all jobs in accordance with customer specifications, manufacturing specifications, print specifications, color folders, and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely, including production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets, S.O.C sheets, and others as assigned.
- Work with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change-over and down time.
- Train and direct the press assistant to become efficient at all required duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time.
- Comply with all 5S and World Class Manufacturing initiatives, such as cross-training and moving to the work.
- Understand and uphold the role in product safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

- Production experience
- Machine operating experience
- Experience with lamination
- Experience in packaging
- Proficiency with hand tools
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and be on feet for the entirety of the shift
- Ability to enter data into a computer system and function independently
- Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed
- Training will be provided on the machinery

Work Environment
The facility is clean and temperature-controlled, featuring large printing presses. Employees work a 4-day work week with the potential for a 5th day, though this is unlikely. The shifts are 12 hours, running from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Thursday. Employees must be comfortable with an adhesive smell throughout the facility and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a Permanent position based out of Shelbyville, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
Direct placement- benefits day 1
-Review every 60 days for chance at hourly increase
-Stipends and days off per company

This is a fully onsite position in Shelbyville,KY.
