Job Title: IT Strategy Consultant (Vendor Research Manager)
Location: Stamford, CT (Remote)
Duration: 12 Months Plus
Pay Range: $50/hr-$70/hr on W2 (DOE)
Job Summary:
The Vendor Research Manager conducts in-depth vendor research using top analyst sources, analyzes data, and produces detailed reports to support the Vendor Engagement Assessment (VEA) within Digital Nexus. The role requires understanding research best practices, industry trends, and strong analytical skills, utilizing AI tools. The ideal candidate will manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Research & Analysis: Perform thorough vendor research with sources like Gartner, Forrester, IDC.
- Analyze vendor information, market trends, and reviews.
- Manage research requests and vendor engagement activities.
- Data Analytics & Report Production: Summarize findings, create high-quality reports, and executive briefings.
- Maintain KPI data and develop report templates for consistency.
- Maintaining Process Materials: Keep documentation updated and compliant with policies.
- Revise materials to meet changing industry standards and methodologies.
- AI Integration & Support: Use AI tools to improve research efficiency and accuracy.
- Train team members on AI tools and implement AI solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Work with internal teams to understand and deliver vendor research.
- Prepare materials and facilitate stakeholder meetings for discussions.
- Process Improvement: Apply best practices to enhance research quality and efficiency.
- Propose improvements in research methods and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, IT, Market Research, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in market/vendor research or analysis.
- Skilled in using analyst research sources and AI tools.
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and tools like Teams, Visio, PowerBI.
- Experience in stakeholder management and vendor relationship management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with procurement processes and vendor evaluation.
- Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM) or AI technologies.
