THE OPPORTUNITY

Community Vision is seeking two mission-driven professionals to join our lending team. These positions are responsible for identifying, structuring and underwriting creative lending solutions in collaboration with our clients, which is central to our efforts to help preserve and create more community-serving spaces. The work of Community Vision’s lending team is primarily focused on providing large loans to support social purpose real estate projects.

More specifically, both positions are responsible for structuring and negotiating loans, conducting thorough written credit analysis, and maintaining strong borrower relationships. They will also contribute to the expansion of lending relationships and development of loan products and processes to better serve affordable housing groups, community development objectives, and nonprofit organizations. The Senior role carries additional responsibilities in product development, business development, and market leadership.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder with strong credit fundamentals and a passion for social impact.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Both Loan Officer and Senior Loan Officer will have the same core responsibilities below, with additional responsibilities as outlined for the Senior role.

  • Attend applicable conferences and sector networking events.

  • Actively contribute to loan process improvement, with the goal of continuously improving clarity and efficiency. Identify opportunities to incorporate industry best practice and emerging approaches, draft proposed changes to process, and help to document and train for team members.

  • Senior Loan Officer - Represent Community Vision as a speaker at conferences and sector networking events, demonstrating market leadership and professional thought leadership
