This is a hands-on recruiting role responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle across multiple locations and business functions. You will partner closely with hiring managers and operational leaders to attract, engage, and hire top talent for critical positions throughout the organization.

Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist – Full Cycle Recruiting is responsible for managing all aspects of the recruitment process, from workforce planning and sourcing strategy through candidate selection, offer management, and onboarding support. This position serves as a trusted partner to hiring managers and business leaders, ensuring the organization attracts and hires high-quality talent efficiently and effectively.
The successful candidate will recruit for a variety of positions including CDL Drivers, Helpers, Diesel Technicians, Dispatchers, Customer Service Representatives, Operations Supervisors, Route Managers, Sales Professionals, and Corporate Support roles.
Work Environment
- Position is based in Frederick, Maryland.
- Hybrid work environment with regular travel to operating locations throughout Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
- Frequent interaction with operations leadership, hiring managers, and frontline employees.
- Participation in job fairs, CDL schools, hiring events, and community recruiting initiatives.
- Ability to travel approximately 25–35% as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, qualifications, and hiring priorities.
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for both hourly and salaried positions.
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates to evaluate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams.
- Extend employment offers and manage pre-employment processes.
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Proactively source active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, employee referrals, networking, industry associations, and direct outreach.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill positions.
- Develop relationships with technical schools, CDL training programs, colleges, workforce development organizations, and community partners.
- Leverage social media and recruiting technologies to identify and engage prospective candidates.
Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and operational leaders on recruiting best practices and labor market trends.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop workforce planning and hiring strategies.
- Provide regular updates on recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, and hiring progress.
Recruiting Analytics & Compliance
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, applicant conversion rates, and hiring manager satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
Employer Branding & Community Engagement
- Represent the organization at job fairs, hiring events, career expos, trade schools, and community outreach programs.
- Support employer branding initiatives that strengthen the company's reputation as an employer of choice.
- Promote employee referral programs and other talent attraction initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting transportation, logistics, construction, manufacturing, environmental services, or other operationally intensive industries.
- Experience recruiting for high-volume, operational, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
- Experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Applicant Tracking Systems, and other sourcing platforms.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
- Experience leveraging recruiting analytics and reporting tools.
- Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience recruiting CDL Drivers, Technicians, Operations Leaders, or skilled trades positions.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations.
- Knowledge of employment laws and hiring compliance requirements.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS, or related recruiting certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
