Step into a rewarding role providing Speech-Language Pathology services to young learners ages 3-5 within an engaging school community near Schenectady, NY. This contract position offers opportunities to make a meaningful difference in early childhood education across multiple sites, each with its unique caseload and schedule.

Assignment Overview:

  • School 1: Part-time, 3 days per week; 10 sessions per day, totaling 40 sessions weekly.
  • School 2: Part-time, 2 to 3 days per week; up to 43 sessions a week as enrollment grows (starting lighter and increasing over time).
  • School 3: Two full-time openings; includes a full-time maternity leave opportunity running until January 27th, handling 40-42 sessions weekly.

Position Highlights & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted speech and language interventions to preschool-aged students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to support each child’s unique developmental needs.
  • Conduct evaluations, develop and implement IEP goals, and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a team environment focused on positive student outcomes.
  • Follow a traditional 10-month school year calendar, with student contact hours from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current SLP-CCC credential.
  • Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged populations is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and creative support tailored to a variety of communication needs.
  • Open to Clinical Fellows (CFYs) with virtual supervision provided.
  • SLPAs support is not available in these settings.
