The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records, with a strong focus on managing the Profit & Loss (P& L) statement, Balance Sheet, and month‑end close activities. This role provides critical financial analysis, supports leadership with forecasting and budgeting, and ensures compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Oversee preparation, review, and analysis of the P& L statement and Balance Sheet on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and provide meaningful insights to management.
  • Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Ensure proper classification and accuracy of revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

General Ledger Management

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct periodic audits of internal processes to strengthen accounting controls.
  • Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support annual budgeting and ongoing financial forecasting processes.
  • Partner with department leaders to track spending and identify financial trends.
  • Provide insights into operational performance and recommend improvements.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, finance, and leadership teams to provide financial support.
  • Communicate financial results and insights in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong experience managing P& L and Balance Sheet oversight.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v‑lookup, complex formulas).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
