Location: South Riding, VA (20152)
Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel
Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 2:45 PM
Assignment Length: 37 Weeks
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Pay Rate: $40–$45 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking SPED Cross-Categorical Teacher for an exciting job in South Riding, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct special education instruction across multiple disability areas

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state guidelines

• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

• Provide instruction in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings

• Track and document student progress using data-driven practices

• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families

• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and parent conferences

• Implement behavior intervention plans and classroom behavior supports

• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records

• Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education

• Active or eligible Virginia Special Education teaching license (Cross-Categorical or equivalent)

• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting

• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and special education regulations

• Effective classroom management, organization, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Cross-Categorical SPED Teacher

• Experience supporting students with autism, emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, or intellectual disabilities

• Familiarity with inclusive and co-teaching models

• Experience with behavior intervention plans and data-based instruction
