Job Summary:
The Field Supervisor oversees all on-site activities for residential remodeling projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion. They manage subcontractors, coordinate with clients, and ensure projects align with company standards, budgets, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Supervise daily operations at job sites, ensuring work meets design plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Team Management: Coordinate and direct subcontractors, laborers, and suppliers, resolving issues and ensuring efficient workflows.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, addressing concerns and providing regular project updates.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain project timelines, coordinating material deliveries and subcontractor schedules to meet deadlines.
- Quality Control: Inspect work for compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Budget Management: Monitor project costs, approve material purchases, and report variances to project managers.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct site inspections, and ensure OSHA and company safety standards are met.
- Problem Solving: Address on-site challenges, such as delays or material issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of progress, change orders, and daily logs; report to management as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years in residential remodeling or construction, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods; proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore).
- Certifications: OSHA 10/30, contractor’s license, or trade-specific certifications preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate active construction sites.
- Other: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and availability for occasional evenings/weekends.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site at residential properties, with exposure to weather, noise, and construction hazards.
- Some office work for planning and reporting.
- Typical hours: 40-50 per week, with flexibility for project demands.
Compensation:
- Salary: $60,000-$85,000 annually (varies by region and experience).
- Benefits: Health insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, and potential performance bonuses.
- Reports To: Project Manager or Operations Manager
