Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support position preferred
- Understanding of classroom routines and student support strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administrators
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and dedication to student success
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in child development or related field is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans, activities, and individualized instruction for students
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help
- Support students with special educational needs under the direction of certified educators
- Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunchtime, recess, and transitions
- Assist with record-keeping, preparing educational materials, and organizing resources
