Major Mechanical is looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Project Manager. We are a well-established HVAC and Plumbing contractor that is looking to grow our Commercial division.
This Project Manager will be responsible for the managing of Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Projects. This position requires a self-motivated individual who has experience in running a project from conception to turnover. This employee should have a high level of HVAC and Plumbing technical knowledge allowing them to design and estimate their own projects.
A successful Project Manager will previous experience consisting of reviewing of plans and specifications, equipment and material procurement, submittals, RFIs, manage labor force, and perform estimates for changes to the projects.
Job Duties:
- Manage the overall HVAC and Plumbing job scope on small and larger-scale commercial projects (up to $5M).
- Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders and evaluate submittals to reflect contract drawing and specifications.
- Work with general contractors and job foremen to determine scheduling needs and provide relevant job information to ensure efficient field production.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Overseeing the execution of all work, including quality and production and ensuring that the crew works to job specifications.
- Provide follow up and closeout documents for completed jobs.
- Other tasks as required to ensure sound completion of projects that are assigned to you.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- (3-5) or more years of experience in construction project management, ideally in the commercial HVAC or Plumbing space
- Candidate must be capable of working in a team environment, participate in technical activities throughout the development life cycle of the project, and maintain a close technical involvement with all contributing developmental organizations.
- Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, project management software and finance/accounting concepts and practices.
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects simultaneously to keep projects on course.
- Ability to simply the communications of complex projects to effectively convey task assignments, milestones, work breakdown structures, and critical paths.
- Skill in demonstrating excellence through inclusion, teamwork, collaboration, knowledge transfer/training, and positive working relationships.
- High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office Applications
- Interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and customers.
Job Type: Full-time, In office
Salary: From $80k to 100k based on experience.
