Our organization is on the lookout for a Radiology Technologist II to provide exceptional diagnostic imaging services across hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. This position is supported by our healthcare staffing agency located in Cary, North Carolina. In this capacity, you will leverage your expertise as a radiologic technologist, conducting a variety of routine, trauma, and portable radiographic examinations in dynamic, patient-focused settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently verify provider orders and confirm patient identities.
- Thoroughly explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
- Skillfully position patients and operate radiographic equipment and digital imaging systems.
- Ensure diagnostic quality of images for accurate interpretation by radiologists and healthcare providers.
- Adapt to diverse patient needs, ranging from routine outpatient exams to urgent imaging in acute care environments.
- Assist with fluoroscopy and contrast studies as necessary.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any changes in condition or adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records and imaging systems.
- Adhere to infection prevention practices and comply with organizational policies.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and radiographic techniques.
- Meticulous attention to radiation safety and adherence to ALARA principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and potential on-call rotations.
- Experience mentoring junior technologists or students is a plus.
