Incoming Inspection Technician | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials and components.
- Verify incoming parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and suppliers to resolve material discrepancies and quality issues.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment according to established schedules.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated skill in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Familiarity with quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and sampling plans (e.g., AQL).
- Ability to accurately document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and initiate corrective actions.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry, using quality management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP or Quality Management System (QMS) software.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience operating advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, vision system).
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
