US Trades is seeking a CDL Driver to support our industrial project team by delivering parts and materials safely within plant property. This role is unique in that it does not involve driving on public roads. Instead, the driver will operate a yard mule or semi-truck with trailers up to 53’ inside the facility to move materials, equipment, and supplies between designated areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a yard mule or semi with flatbed trailers (up to 53’) within plant property.
- Deliver parts, materials, and equipment to crews and designated work areas inside the facility.
- Properly strap, secure, and balance oddly shaped loads such as pipe, valves, structural bundles, and other irregular materials.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate with site teams to coordinate deliveries and staging.
- Adhere to all site-specific safety policies, including PPE and traffic control requirements.
- Assist with other logistics or yard support duties as needed.
Requirements
- Valid CDL License (Class A preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating tractor-trailers or yard mules.
- Experience strapping and securing irregular or industrial loads.
- Must hold a valid TWIC Card.
- Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test prior to hire.
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work long shifts and outdoors in varying conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in industrial plants, refineries, or chemical facilities.
- Familiarity with flatbed trailers, load balancing, and securement best practices.
