We are seeking a reliable Bilingual Phlebotomist (Spanish/English) with strong clinical skills and knowledge of backend medical processes, including ICD-10 coding. This role combines patient-facing phlebotomy duties with administrative and documentation support to ensure accurate clinical records and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following safety protocols
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Communicate clearly with patients in Spanish and English
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR/EMR system
- Assist with backend documentation and data entry
- Apply and review ICD-10 diagnosis codes for accuracy and compliance
- Support billing, claims, and referral workflows as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards
Required Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomist (CPT, RPT, or equivalent)
- Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
- Working knowledge of ICD-10 codes
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a clinic, medical office, or laboratory
- Familiarity with medical billing or CPT codes
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
