Construction Superintendent

Job DescriptionSalary: $100,000 to $125,000
Summary: Manages construction site activities from pre-construction through close-out. Supervises foremen,
crew leads and subcontractors; manages project timeline; and oversees administrative aspects of projects.
Manages customer expectations; keeps customers up to date on project status and forecast in collaboration
with the Project Managers official updates; meets with customers throughout construction to maintain trust and
realistic expectations. Superintendents are highly engaged with customers with service quality being
paramount to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Job Site Management:
o Oversee all trades, requires experience in managing or performing (not limited to) framing,
finish carpentry, foundation layout, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, drywall,
plaster, insulation, millwork, paint and stain, roofing, flashing, masonry, tile, waterproofing,
windows and doors, hardware, flooring, finishes, etc.
o Own the projects quality, cleanliness and job site efficiency; enforce safety standards, best
practices methods, and company policies on job sites.
o Drafting and sketch detailing job site clarifications quickly for crew clarity.
o Maintain job logs, photo records, document organization, and ongoing punch list records with
clear visibility to the collaborating project staff
o Maintain job file organization with spec sheets, purchase records, weekly look-ahead updates,
photo records, RFIs, change orders, shop drawings, subcontracts, etc.
o Submit change orders for changes to specifications, scope or schedule.
Project Planning:
o Study and understand construction documents before projects, and during projects as
documents are updated
o Proactively provide RFIs to the Project Manager and Design team
o Study and understand subcontract agreements, scope gaps and overlaps, construction
contracts and scope of work
Communication
o Prioritize subscriber care and sympathize with homeowners.
o Listening, clear communication and documentation skills required.
o Fast and accurate response times, anticipate questions and proactively develop answers.
o Maintain daily reports to Project Manager and key stakeholders.

Palo Alto, etc.
Punctual and communicative, self-driven to find solutions and show a proactive approach; must have a
proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Reactive and passive attitudes will not be sustainable.
Independently resourceful problem solver, with team-focused results.
Qualifications
Associates degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, and four to six
years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General Contractors License a plus
Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
Valid drivers license and insurance
Time management, highly organized, computer use proficiency, 60+WPM typing, adaptable to
software integration with construction processes.
