Sushi Sake Boynton is preparing to open its doors soon, and we are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Takeout Specialist to join our opening team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a brand-new restaurant while joining the growing Sushi Sake family.
The Takeout Specialist plays an important role in creating a positive guest experience by ensuring every takeout and delivery order is accurate, complete, and prepared with care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working with guests, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Selected candidates may be required to complete training at our Sushi Sake Boca location prior to the Boynton Beach opening to learn our menu, systems, service standards, and operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests picking up takeout orders with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with placing takeout orders.
- Process phone, online, and third-party delivery orders accurately using the restaurant's POS system.
- Verify all orders for accuracy before packaging and handing them to guests or delivery drivers.
- Ensure all orders include the correct items, sauces, utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time.
- Provide menu knowledge and assist guests with questions or recommendations.
- Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked takeout station.
- Assist with opening preparations and help establish takeout procedures for the new location.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.
- Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant policies.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, cashier, takeout, or customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain efficient during busy service periods.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one).
