We are seeking an ambitious, independently minded finance professional. This hybrid role will suit a newly or recently qualified accountant eager to apply their skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment while gaining exposure to all facets of financial management within a tech-forward organisation.

You will work closely with a wide range of teams at CyberSmart through projects and activities that the finance team either own or contribute to, combining the rigour of financial reporting with commercial awareness of management accounting to provide accurate, compliant and insightful information to the business. Requirements

Financial Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records (currently in Xero).
  • Manage the month-end process, preparing month-end journals and reports, including maintaining accruals and prepayments.
  • Review and reconcile revenue general ledger accounts, particularly revenue and deferred income.
  • Own the accounts payable process collaborating with suppliers and the various team leaders.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely submission.
  • Support annual audit procedures, liaising with external auditors as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.

Management Accounting

  • Prepare draft management accounts
  • Develop insightful dashboards and regular financial reports for departmental heads and executive leadership
  • Support budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with the FC, CFO and department leads
  • Track and report on key SaaS metrics including MRR, churn, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and LTV.
  • Collaborate with the People function to assist with employee benefits and payroll processing.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis
  • Identify and implement process improvements across finance and cross-functional workflows
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to inform operations and strategic decision-making

Required:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a finance role, ideally in a SaaS or tech environment
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, particularly accruals and prepayments and month end processes.
  • Experience managing subscription revenue (e.g., Chargebee, Stripe, Recurly, Paddle, Maxio).
  • Confidence with dashboard tools (e.g., Omni, Power BI, Looker, Tableau) to support internal reporting
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and reconciling with billing data.
  • Strong spreadsheet manipulation skills (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel).
  • Experience working with SME non-financial services companies, either from working in practice or from a role in industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-pace, scaling environment with changing priorities

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with cyber security
  • Exposure to investor reporting and board packs
  • Involvement in fundraising rounds or due diligence processes
  • Experience integrating finance with BI tools or managing data pipelines
  • Familiarity with multi-entity consolidation
  • Experience working on ERP migrations.
  • Familiar with Mac
