Job DescriptionSalary:

The Field Safety Coordinator supports day-to-day field operations by helping ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (QHSE) standards as well as applicable regulatory requirements. This role provides direct on-site support to supervisors and crews, conducts inspections, assists with training, and reinforces safe work practices. The Field Safety Coordinator plays a key role in hazard identification, incident reporting, and QHSE program implementation, serving as the frontline resource for safety in the field.


  • Champion HSE initiatives by leading and supporting the implementation and rollout of company HSE policies, procedures, and standards ensuring all personnel are empowered to participate the programs / initiatives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Companys Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and provide constructive feedback for refinement.
  • Engage daily with field personnel to promote a positive safety culture and encourage hazard and near-miss reporting.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Companys Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure consistent compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and provide constructive feedback for refinement.
  • Conduct regular internal audits of the Companys Quality Management System (QMS) to determine level of adherence, identify gaps, and drive continuous.
  • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and competency assessments for field crews.
  • Actively participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the development of corrective actions.
  • Ensure field-level compliance with federal, state, and local and customer requirements.
  • Serve as the primary safety liaison between field operations, corporate HSE, and client representatives.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inspection of PPE, tools, and safety equipment.
  • Participate in pre-job planning and risk assessment meetings with operational teams.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide on-site incident management support when required.
  • Coordinate with emergency services and regulatory bodies during significant incidents.
  • Verify personnel training records and certifications are up to date.
  • Mentor and coach new employees on safe work practices and Company expectations.
  • Represent the Company during HSE audits conducted by clients or regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate with 3rd Party HSE Representatives as necessary.
  • Provide clear, professional HSE reporting to Company leadership, regulatory agencies, customers, and/or other interested parties as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely safety documentation, including inspection checklists, training logs, and audit forms.
  • Recognize and reward safe behaviors and innovations in safety practices.
  • Actively participate in field leadership visits to engage Company personnel and reinforce safety culture.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • Preference given to candidates with prior military or law enforcement experience, as these backgrounds often provide strong discipline, situational awareness, and adherence to safety protocols that align with the demands of oilfield operations.
  • 2+ years of oilfield experience with a minimum of 1 year in a safety-related role preferred.
