Job Description

Job DescriptionAre you a boating enthusiast or avid angler with a knack for data and a passion for understanding the market? We are looking for a Market Research Analyst to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. You'd be at the heart of our product strategy, using your sharp analytical skills and deep knowledge of the marine industry to help shape the next generation of products.

Your work will be centered around market research, where you'll act as the voice of the customer. You'll dive deep into data to uncover what boaters and fishermen truly need and want, translating your findings into actionable insights that guide our product development. If you are a logical thinker who can turn complex data into a clear story, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Be Accountable For
• Market Analysis & Research: Conduct and support complex research projects, gathering and analyzing primary and secondary data to understand market trends, customer behaviors, and competitor products. This involves organizing trade shows and dealer visits, managing research vendors, and interpreting insights from data to inform strategic plans.
• Product Expertise: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our product line-up and that of our core competitors. This includes in-depth knowledge of various boat types, engine systems, and marine technologies, as well as the retail and wholesale processes within the industry.
• Data-Driven Storytelling: Use your high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to compile, analyze, and present data. You will create clear and visually compelling reports and presentations for leadership, translating data into concise, impactful stories that identify customer needs and support data-driven decision-making.
• Product Planning & Strategy: Synthesize market trend data and customer needs to craft clear, data-backed stories about essential development requirements. You will clearly communicate product specifications, features, and pricing while articulating the product's role, target customer, and business objectives.

Required Education & Experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Science, Math, or Psychology) with 3 - 5 years of experience.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables/graphs; macros and writing code are a plus) and PowerPoint. Experience with SPSS, Tableau, and PowerBI is also a plus.
• Core Competencies:
o Strong analytical, logical, and data-driven mindset with the ability to translate data into a clear and concise story.
o Excellent planning and project management skills.
o Confident and effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and executives.

If you have a deep love for the marine world and the skills to back it up with solid data, we encourage you to apply and help us chart the course for our future products.
