Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a manufacturing client in Charlotte, NC to add a skilled CNC laser professional to their team.

• Pay: $20/hour
• Schedule: 2nd shift, 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Training: Must be able to train on 1st shift

A day in the life

As production ramps up for the afternoon shift, you review the day’s work orders and pull up the appropriate programs for the CNC laser. You set up the machine, verify alignment, and run a test cut. With calipers and micrometers in hand, you confirm tolerances, make fine adjustments, and document the first-article inspection. Throughout the shift, you collaborate with teammates to keep jobs moving, assist with basic equipment troubleshooting, and jump in with hand tools to help assemble components when needed. Before clocking out, you complete routine maintenance, tidy your work area, and log any notes for the next shift.

What you’ll handle

• Operate CNC laser cutting equipment with accuracy and consistency.
• Set up, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on laser machinery.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine job specifications.
• Verify part quality using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Coordinate with team members to hit production targets and timelines.
• Use hand tools and fabrication techniques to assist with component assembly.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs as needed.
