Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the inventory lifecycle across all Feet First Partners’ Good Feet Store locations. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working with data entry and Excel. This role will be fully onsite in our collaborative Portsmouth, NH office and offers a chance to grow with a mission-driven, rapidly expanding company.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Reconciliation:
- Enter and verify data by reviewing purchase orders, received goods, and vendor invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Use spreadsheets and inventory systems to track and reconcile incoming inventory
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoicing and receiving inconsistencies
Ordering Support:
- Assist with placing orders through external vendor platforms, following established processes
- Track order status and shipping information to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Maintain organized documentation and communicate order updates with internal stakeholders
Cycle Count Oversight:
- Ensure store teams follow the established cycle count plan consistently
- Provide support and guidance to stores to complete counts accurately and on time
- Investigate and correct inventory variances through data analysis and collaboration
RMA Coordination:
- Guide stores through the return merchandise authorization (RMA) process
- Collect necessary documentation and details for product returns
- Communicate with the Senior Buyer to obtain approvals before processing returns
- Ensure all stores comply with RMA procedures
Supplier Communication:
- Act as a liaison between stores and vendors to address delivery issues or product discrepancies
- Coordinate with suppliers on shipping, invoicing, and product inquiries
Reporting & Data Support:
- Run and review inventory reports to validate inventory accuracy
- Support the Senior Buyer with data entry and inventory metrics to drive purchasing decisions
- Identify and report inventory trends or issues that could impact operations

Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail with solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply—no prior inventory experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential—must be able to use formulas, create and manage spreadsheets, and perform data analysis.
- Effective communication skills to work with store teams, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in inventory management, retail operations, or supply chain a plus
- Familiarity with external vendor ordering platforms
- Experience supporting multi-location retail operations or franchises a plus
- College degree in related field
