Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity working with students across multiple grade levels in a dynamic educational environment near Lenexa, KS. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week for the entire academic year, running from early August through late May. Professionals will have the opportunity to support K-12 students, engaging with a diverse population and gaining valuable experience across 1-3 campuses during the assignment. Specific caseload details will be provided during the interview process, as placements are based on school-year needs.
Those holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF), and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) are all encouraged to apply. This position requires on-site attendance to provide collaborative, hands-on therapy and consultative services.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as an SLP-CCC, SLP-CF, or SLPA
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of speech and language therapy for K-12 populations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple campuses and varied caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech and language needs
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education program (IEP) goals, and monitor progress
- Collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs across different grade levels
