A medical practice is seeking a full-time, team oriented licensed Psychologist who is professional, knowledgeable and motivated, to be an integral member of an interdisciplinary brain injury treatment program and pain management practice in the Sacramento area. The clinician in this position should be well-versed in evidence-based practices of individual and group therapy, in neuropsychological screening and assessment, DSM diagnosis, milieu and individual cognitive rehabilitation treatment, and brief intervention.
This role requires testing/assessment AND cognitive treatment. Treatment is an essential element of this program and this role.

Responsibilities:
- Performing individual, group, and milieu cognitive rehabilitation therapy and psychoeducation in a brain injury treatment program
- Performing individual psychotherapy for chronic pain and trauma patients
- Conducting neuropsychological and psychological assessment for a Brain Injury Program and for outpatient psychology services
- Working with an inter-disciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, speech language pathologists, physical therapists, physicians, wellness instructors, nutritionists and patient care coordinators
- Providing behavioral interventions with patients
- Facilitating family meetings related to the Brain Injury Program
- Initiate and maintain a variety of progress notes, reports and other required documentation
- Administer, score and interpret a variety of psychological/neuropsychological tests
- Develop and provide in-service trainings to professional and support staff as needed
- Identify and evaluate normal and abnormal behavior tendencies and/or neurocognitive concerns and diagnose, classify and report an appropriate prognosis
- Prepare and implement an effective psychological and/or cognitive rehabilitation treatment plan
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid Clinical Psychology license issued by the State of California
- Experience in Workers Comp patients, Chronic pain or TBI is highly preferred.
- Experience with neuropsychological screenings and assessments
- Spanish speaking desirable but not required
