Event Coordinator Job Description
Part-Time or Per Event Basis role to facilitate bookings and month of coordination for two wedding venues in Chesterfield, VA. We provide services for a multitude of events with a diverse set of clients; this role would need to not only work with new clients, but also those already on the books. Position is in-office only, must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate before beginning work. 1 year of event planning experience preferred. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to attend client’s rehearsals, coordination meetings, and be present on their event days.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service oriented attitude
· Have a strict understanding of time management, schedules, and multi-tasking
· Must have flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary
· Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively and appropriately
· Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
We are primarily wedding-focused, but there is a possibility for a variety of events.
· Meeting with clients to determine needs and working with vendors to ensure needs of client are executed
· Attending events to ensure smooth execution of venue and guest activities
· Managing set-up, break-down, and clean up operations, assisting when necessary
· Organizing all staff, vendors, and other logistical elements on event days
· Scheduling and leading private tours
· Build relationships with clients and local vendors while providing a high-touch level of hospitality
· Perform additional duties as required
