What does a Production Lead do at Hogarth?

The Production Lead oversees a client dedicated Creative Production Studio for Hogarth collaborating with clients across North America, as well as serving as a connector with Hogarth's network globally and partners as appropriate to execute. The engagement is a complex, matrixed environment pulling clients, partners and team members across lines of business, project types and opportunities for growth. As the Client's central point-of-contact, this role holds overall responsibility for the relationship with the Client and key stakeholders while implementing ways of working with WPP and clients as well as ensuring Hogarth teams are engaged and motivated to perform, and collaborate across WPP partners as needed. This role is also responsible for the development of roadmaps, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards of satisfaction, quality, and collaboration.

Client Leader

Serving as a primary point of contact for the Client, the Production Lead is a strategic partner responsible for understanding the engagement, building and managing the right team and working closely with WPP partners to build and support the relationship. This position requires proven experience in a similar role, with strong operations and stakeholder management skills. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential for success. This position is responsible for tracking the KPIs for the health of the relationship and how operations are performing overall. In this role you will be working with both sister agencies within WPP as well as outside agencies and client partners as the main point of contact.

Operations Leader

The Production Lead is also accountable for launching internal ways of working supporting processes that drive successful business delivery. Working across various disciplines and collaborating with regional and global teams, the successful candidate will leverage their outstanding problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and strong relationship-building capabilities to lead and mentor the team and the broader agency.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

This role reports to the both the Managing Director of Client Business and the Managing Director of the region that manages all operations.

You will work closely with Project Management, Account, and Production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and a main point of contact for clients, fostering strong, lasting relationships
  • Responsible for strategy, health and delivery of the business
  • Work with both client procurement and day to day client point of contacts to maintain client satisfaction on a macro and micro level
  • Immerse yourself in the client's business to identify and act on opportunities to improve service
  • Leverage production strategies and tools to connect and optimize the global network, promoting best practices
  • Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution that meets client objectives
  • Guide the team to deliver projects successfully, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines through conflicting priorities while maintaining imperiality
  • Identify and resolve issues that could impact timelines, quality, or client satisfaction, ensuring optimal outcomes
  • Use agency data to provide insights on planning, tracking deliverables, budgeting, and resourcing
  • Lead the team in meeting project goals while aligning deliverables with client requirements
  • Work with internal teams on staffing, resource allocation, and financial reporting
  • Take proactive steps to implement recovery plans when critical risks arise
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with internal teams, external partner agencies, regional offices, and third parties
  • Foster a culture of trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, and engagement
  • Collaborate with global and regional leaders to manage and execute initiatives in line with integrated strategies

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of related experience within an international production environment
  • Commercially focused with a passion for delivering and exceeding results
  • Focus on continuous improvement of project management methodology
  • The ability to thrive in an ever changing and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and relationships cross functionally
  • Experience with complex decision and planning processes
  • Ability to conduct presentations comfortably
  • Experience working with Senior and Executive management at the agency and with clients
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to understand client needs, anticipate challenges, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations, while always prioritizing the client's best interests
