Our client located in the 78738 area of southwest Austin has been around for over 30 years and specializes in the field of compressed air and environmental analysis. They are seeking a Temporary Filter Laboratory & Data Entry Technician to provide short-term coverage for their team. This assignment is expected to last 1–2 weeks, with the possibility of extension if needed. The role pays $20 per hour and is looking to start as soon as possible.

This position supports and provides essential testing media for their laboratory that tests breathing, medical, and industrial compressed air. These tests help support firefighting, medical, food, manufacturing, and more.

This is a hybrid department position, which means you will be working between two different areas of the facility each day and performing duties related to that location.

Must have reliable transportation with the ability to travel onsite to a location just west of Bee Cave (78738).

Some of the Essential Responsibilities include:

• Viewing filter membranes through a microscope and performing manual counts of particulates
• Weighing customer samples and performing analytical balance
• Data entry to update system with findings
• Building out packing materials, boxes, labels, etc., for scientific materials to be shipped
• Receiving and handling materials while following safety procedures and requirements

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented
• Able to work with a microscope
• Comfortable with simple math calculations
• Able to type 60 WPM
• Requires completion of a month-long onsite training course
• Comfortable with hands-on, repetitive tasks

Hours: 8:30AM – 5:00PM
