Job Title: Production Technician
Job Description
As a Production Technician, you will play a key role in the production process, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality standards. You will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting production machinery, creating production batches, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with production personnel at shift change to ensure a seamless transition.
- Troubleshoot formulations and production lines to resolve issues such as line surging and wet strands.
- Operate all production machinery, including extruders, pelletizers, blenders, and feeders.
- Monitor and log readings and events for extrusion equipment and production runs.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas during your shift.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure the quality of finished products.
- Move materials as required to support production tasks.
- Perform line cleans between production lots.
- Adhere to CPPT Safety Programs and ISO 9001 guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- 1+ years of forklift experience (sit down).
- 1+ years of extrusion experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail in mixing and compounding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift operator with 2 - 5 years of experience, certified.
- Safety background and experience participating in safety circles.
- Proficient with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong math, statistics, and writing skills.
- Plastics extrusion experience.

Work Environment
The work environment is a medium-sized warehouse with a climate-controlled setting that can get cool in winter and hot in summer. The production schedule includes day and night shifts with a shift differential for night work. Employees are expected to wear steel-toe shoes and appropriate attire such as clean jeans and a t-shirt. Additional personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, earbuds, and face coverings, are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
