Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth financial operations using QuickBooks Online and a construction software suite called Buildertrend. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to review with the owner on regular intervals.
- Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with project managers to track job costs and financial performance.
- Handle vendor and subcontractor payments, including tracking subcontractor paperwork and lien waivers.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and similar project management software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction accounting and job costing is a plus.
