Sunbelt Staffing, a trusted nationwide healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week full-time field contract in Washington, DC. In this role, youll partner with one of the countrys leading home health providers to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care directly in patients homes.

Contract Details:

  • Hiring Company: Sunbelt Staffing-a Nationwide Healthcare Staffing Agency
  • Client: Nationwide Home Health Agency
  • Location: Washington, DC, and surrounding areas
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with possible extension upon successful start and completion)
  • Hours: Full-time, Scheduled 40 hours per week, no guaranteed hours
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional weekends and on-call duty (typically one weekend per month on-call)
  • Productivity: 25-32 per week, up to 35 patients per week
  • Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and territory budget; paid hourly - not by visit; blended pay packages available for travelers
  • Mileage Reimbursement:.48c visit to visit, 150-250 miles per week expected
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k

Job Responsibilities

  • Regularly assess patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status, documenting changes in condition.
  • Clean and dress wounds, monitor for signs of infection, and report any concerns to the supervising RN or physician.
  • Perform tasks such as blood draws, tube feedings, and other medical procedures as prescribed by the care plan.
  • Follow care plans developed by the supervising RN or physician, adjusting as necessary and communicating any changes.
  • Accurately document all patient care activities, assessments, and interactions using Homecare Homebase or similar software.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within the required timeframe, using Homecare Homebase for record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of District of Columbia.
  • Minimum of 1 year of home health experience working with adult and geriatric patients.
  • Proficiency in Homecare Homebase (HCHB) required.
  • Proficiency in Oasis Assessments required.
  • Oasis Certified strongly preferred but not required.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.
  • Ability to meet Joint Commission onboarding standards upon offer.
