We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Dispatcher to join our operations team. This position follows a 7-on / 7-off schedule, offering a consistent and balanced work-life rhythm. The Night Dispatcher plays a key role in the operational success of our maritime company—overseeing invoicing processes, maintaining customer relationships, and managing various administrative and communication responsibilities.
This position is responsible for coordinating vessel and crew movements, monitoring schedules, responding to calls, and ensuring clear communication between staff, customers, and management.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate vessel and barge traffic.
- Communicate with captains, crews, and terminals to ensure smooth operations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer relations and after-hours communication.
- Respond to incidents and operational issues during assigned shifts.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and communication records.
- Support emergency response procedures when needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety requirements.
- Review and prepare invoices for billing; collaborate with the finance department to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage invoicing for the shipyard department in the Cape fleet, including barge pumping and repair services.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) in compliance with federal regulations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
- Previous dispatch, marine, or logistics experience preferred.
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced spreadsheet and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of TVIB standards and maritime security regulations is a plus.
- Comfortable learning multiple operating systems while managing phone and radio communications.
