Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with exceptional communication skills? Join our team on an ongoing contract to manage critical payments to land owners and ensure agreement compliance for a high-impact project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and review payment schedules for land owners, ensuring payments are facilitated and set up accurately and on time
- Interpret legal and lease agreements; verify payment terms and components have been met and completed as specified
- Check payment schedules, identify discrepancies, and take proactive action to resolve issues
- Handle monthly check runs, ensuring timely setup and distribution by the team
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders for troubleshooting agreement-related or scheduling issues
- Amortize payments and manage accruals as needed (prior experience preferred)
- Perform data entry in Excel and other systems with precision—no errors tolerated
- Journal entry experience desirable
- No specific software required; Lawson experience helpful but any major ERP is acceptable
- Land or lease experience a plus but not required
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competence in MS Excel and enterprise accounting systems
- Ability to interpret agreements, resolve issues, and facilitate timely payments
- Flexible, reliable work ethic due to the high importance and sensitivity of the role
Work Arrangement:
- In-office required Monday–Wednesday
- Hybrid option (remote) Thursdays and Fridays if all weekly responsibilities are completed
