- Orientation: Unit orientation plus required assessments\n
\n\nICU RN Requirements (Travel)\n
- \n
- Experience: Minimum 18 months of recent ICU RN / critical care nursing experience\n
- Background: At least 18 months of permanent experience in the ICU specialty prior to travel assignments\n
- License: Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand)\n
- Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS (active)\n
- Additional Requirement: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (active)\n
- Assessments: ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment completed during orientation (passing score required)\n
- References: One current/previous leadership reference (manager/ANM/supervisor/director) from ICU specialty\n
\n\nKey Responsibilities – ICU Registered Nurse (RN)\n

- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based critical care nursing to acutely and critically ill ICU patients\n
- Perform focused assessments, interpret clinical changes, and escalate concerns promptly to the provider team\n
- Manage and titrate IV drips/infusions and critical care medications per protocol and provider orders\n
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate plans of care and optimize outcomes\n
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support safe handoffs between shifts\n
- Demonstrate strong ECG rhythm recognition and respond appropriately to emergent situations\n
- Promote patient and family education, support, and advocacy in a high-acuity environment\n
