Compensation Range: $30/hr - $35/hr

Job Description:
Our Museum client is seeking a Graphic Designer to support an in-house creative team across print, digital, and environmental design projects, contributing to concept development, production work, and execution of design assets.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide design support to senior team members across marketing and exhibition-related projects

  • Execute design work across print, digital, and environmental deliverables

  • Assist with typography-heavy layouts including brochures, posters, catalogs, and exhibition labels

  • Create production-ready files and adapt existing designs for multiple formats

  • Work from templates for smaller projects and internal initiatives

  • Assist with gallery label production and typesetting using internal tools

  • Support design ideation through sketching and layout exploration

  • Prepare presentations and materials for internal review

  • Incorporate feedback from senior designers and art directors

  • Ensure projects meet deadlines and production requirements

Requirements:

  • Must-Haves:

    • 2–6 years of professional graphic design experience (or equivalent)

    • Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, layout, and typesetting

    • Experience designing materials such as brochures, books, catalogs, or posters

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

    • Working knowledge of Figma

    • Experience preparing files for print and digital production

    • Strong attention to detail, especially with typography and hierarchy of information

    • Ability to incorporate feedback and collaborate within a design team

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

  • Nice-to-Haves:

    • Experience with motion graphics or After Effects templates

    • Interest in museums, art, or cultural institutions

    • Experience working within brand systems
