Manufacturing utility trucks in Fontana, Ca is seeking a qualify Transportaion Clerk.

  • Day shift
  • Pay rate: $19 -$20

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Transportation Clerk or similar role in a warehouse or shop environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with transportation paperwork such as Purchase Orders (PO’s), Bills of Lading (BOL’s), and other relevant documentation.
  • Excel proficiency is required, along with basic computer skills for data entry and system use.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges as they arise in transportation and logistics coordination.
  • Experience with Business Central is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Truck Receiving & Communication:
    • Oversee the receiving of trucks delivering goods to the shop.
    • Effectively communicate with truck drivers regarding arrival times, unloading processes, and any specific needs or requirements.
    • Ensure smooth and accurate coordination between incoming loads and warehouse operations.
  • Shipping & Receiving of Loads:
    • Manage the shipping and receiving process for all trucks, ensuring that incoming and outgoing loads are processed efficiently and accurately.
    • Verify shipment details, including goods, quantities, and documentation, to ensure correctness.
    • Document and track all shipments from dispatch to arrival.
  • Carrier & Dispatcher Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and external carriers or dispatchers.
    • Coordinate shipment schedules, address issues, and maintain a proactive approach to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
  • Documentation & Paperwork:
    • Review and manage transportation paperwork such as Purchase Orders (PO’s), Bills of Lading (BOL’s), and any other relevant forms.
    • Ensure that all documentation is properly filed and up-to-date for tracking and reporting purposes.
    • Perform data entry tasks related to shipping/receiving logs and inventory control in an organized manner.
  • Excel & Data Entry:
    • Use Excel to track inventory, shipments, and other key transportation metrics.
    • Input data into Business Central systems accurately, keeping records up-to-date and assisting with report generation as needed.
    • Provide assistance with data analysis and performance reports as required by supervisors.
