A full-time paraprofessional position is available for the current school year, supporting a high school student with autism. This contract role offers an opportunity to provide focused, compassionate assistance within an educational setting, making a meaningful difference in a student's academic experience.
Location: Lebanon, NH
Duration: Contract through June 2026
Hours: Full-time, 32.5 to 35 hours per week
Setting: High school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a high school student with autism by implementing individualized education plans
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, including discrete trial training and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate closely with the educational team to monitor and document student progress
- Assist in facilitating communication and social skills development
- Provide consistent classroom support to promote engagement and learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous school-based paraprofessional experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of ABA methods and behavior intervention plans
- Ability to remain patient, attentive, and adaptable to the needs of students with autism
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
