Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for experienced Special Education teachers to support students in an Exceptional Student Network (ESN) Special Day Class setting. This contract position, located in Live Oak, CA, offers a role starting immediately and lasting through June 3rd, 2026.
Key responsibilities include managing a classroom with a caseload of 10-15 students, writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and understanding Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). The role requires leadership abilities to coach and oversee a team of 5-9 paraeducators, ensuring effective support tailored to each students needs.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Prior experience teaching in an ESN Special Day Class
- Proven ability to develop, write, and implement IEPs
- Knowledge and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans
- Experience supervising and coaching paraeducators
- Strong classroom management skills with a focus on special education students
