Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed to support K-8 students within a public school setting in Espanola, NM. This full-time contract opportunity spans the current school year, providing essential therapeutic services to support student development and success in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure or certification
- Experience providing OT services in school environments, preferably K-8
- Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and educational goals
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs
Job Details:
- Location: Espanola, NM
- Age group served: Kindergarten through 8th grade
- Caseload: Manage and provide services to an assigned group of students requiring occupational therapy
- Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Contract duration: Current school year
Responsibilities include evaluating students functional abilities, collaborating with educators and families, and documenting progress in accordance with school policies. The therapist will play a key role in helping students gain skills to improve their educational participation and daily living.
