Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-8 educational setting within a public school district near Aurora, CO. This contract position runs through the current school year and involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse student population.
Location:
- Aurora, Colorado area
- Site: Achieve Academy, Thornton, CO
Role and Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-8 students with a caseload of approximately 50 students, including 36 with mild/moderate needs and 14 with moderate/severe needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide tailored interventions to support communication development and academic success
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required
Qualifications:
- Speech-Language Pathologist Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure for school-based SLP services
- Experience working with K-8 students in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with mild/moderate and moderate/severe communication disorders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
- Contracted for the Current School Year (CSY)
