Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-8 educational setting within a public school district near Aurora, CO. This contract position runs through the current school year and involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse student population.

Location:

  • Aurora, Colorado area
  • Site: Achieve Academy, Thornton, CO

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-8 students with a caseload of approximately 50 students, including 36 with mild/moderate needs and 14 with moderate/severe needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Provide tailored interventions to support communication development and academic success
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required

Qualifications:

  • Speech-Language Pathologist Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure for school-based SLP services
  • Experience working with K-8 students in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with mild/moderate and moderate/severe communication disorders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Contracted for the Current School Year (CSY)
