We are seeking a Head Pastry Chef to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the restaurant's brand and reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day culinary operations
- Coordinate food and kitchenware orders
- Create and execute client cake, cookie, cupcake and other dessert orders.
- Daily management of decorating and production staff to insure quality consistency and achieve all delivery timelines
- Assist in the development of menu items
- Meet with clients as required to discuss specific design requests as applicable
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and workspace at all times and maintain health code requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the execution of custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other desserts
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Focus on quality and consistency of product
- Ability to follow and train staff in maintaining precise formulas for mixing recipes and preparation of all products
- Experience in training staff member with a variety of different levels of knowledge
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
